Description:
Oregon Cob is a building style using clay, sand, and straw that allows for uniquely shaped sculptures, homes, and more. Dan, an industrial design student, designed cob benches to be built and showcased in RIT's community garden. ESW members assisted in sourcing materials on campus, making test bricks, and conducting strength testing in order to ensure the final product would not fracture when people sit down.
