Description:

The Haiti Arborloo is a sustainable sanitation system that can be cheaply implemented in rural, Haitian areas. This moveable toilet is a semi-permanent structure designed to be easily taken down before tropical storms and relocated about every month. The idea is simple, dig a large hole, place the Arborloo on top of it, use the Arborloo as a toilet, and when it’s full, move the Arborloo to a new hole, and plant a fruit tree in the previous location. This design will help provide more accessible and affordable sanitation solution to those in rural regions around Haiti.

Our team will be improving on existing molds to make these Arborloos more durable and affordable.
